The Pit Bull-Dachshund Mix Is The Cutest Dog You Never Knew Existed (Photos)

In the past, purebred dogs were de rigueur. Crossbreeds or “mutts” were, for some reason, considered less desirable than their single-breed brethren.

Fortunately, those days have far since passed.

Perhaps times changed because we learned that purebred pups fall sick more easily than those with mixed genes. Perhaps we just realized how damn adorable the little mutts can be.

Whatever the reason, it's a good thing we did because if we'd never accepted cross-bred dogs, we'd have never known the gloriousness that is the pit bull-dachshund mix.

And, let me tell you: It is indeed glorious.

Rami is one of these rare pitschunds (daschbulls?) and he is, perhaps, one of the cutest dogs I've ever seen.

The pup has the body of a dachshund -- the signature hot dog torso and stubby legs -- and the face of a pit bull.

He is a mythical creature, really -- a canine centaur, if you will -- and he's available for adoption at the Moultrie Colquitt County Humane Society in Georgia.
