One man recently walked nearly 650 miles while dressed in a Stormtrooper costume — all to honor his late wife.
Eileen Doyle passed away in 2012 of pancreatic cancer.
Since then, her husband, Kevin, has been doing whatever he can to continue her legacy: He even started a nonprofit called Eileen's Little Angels Foundation that's dedicated to helping children with cancer.
The 645-mile walk from San Fransisco to San Diego was, in part, to fund that charity.
Kevin said,
Eileen and I both shared a passion for Star Wars and are members of the world-wide costuming organization the 501st Legion and as a member I regularly participate in charitable events, fundraising, and various walks. This time I will be walking in Eileen's memory. With the money raised I will be able to create such things as a coloring book, bandanas, a blanket, and plush toys…. all featuring Eileen's artwork. It is my hope that this walk will help me to heal and give my life purpose by sharing Eileen's spirit though her artwork with children battling cancer and put a little sunshine in their lives.

The walk took more than a month...
From June 6 to July 9…
...and Doyle donned a Stormtrooper suit the entire time.
Now that's dedication.
His wife may no longer be here…
...but I'm sure she'd be proud of her husband's work.
