Kids With And Without Down Syndrome Prove How Alike We All Really Are (Video)

by Gillian Fuller

In honor of World Down Syndrome Day, activists and siblings Lauren and Paul Costabile made “More Alike Than Different,” a short video championing equality for those with disabilities.

In the video, children -- some with Down syndrome, others without -- are asked a series of questions, like “What do you want to be when you grow up?” and “What's your favorite food?.”

Across the board, the children's answers were charmingly familiar.

The purpose of the project is to demonstrate that children with Down syndrome and children without are, as the title suggests, more alike than different -- and no matter who we are, we all deserve to be treated equally, with love and respect.
