Couple Guilty Of Having Sex On Beach Faces Up To 15 Years In Prison

by Gillian Fuller

Having sex on the beach seems hot, but it's pretty awful in practice.

Often, those daring enough to try it learn their lesson pretty quickly; sand in the assh*le is generally enough to convince someone to never try beach sex again.

Unfortunately, a Florida judge decided nature's punishment wasn't quite enough for a couple who was caught screwing on the beach in broad daylight and subsequently sentenced the offending couple to a combined 30 years in prison.

Jose Caballero, 40, and 20-year-old Elissa Alvarez were spotted by multiple witnesses, including one 3-year-old girl, having sex on Florida's Bradenton Beach on July 20 of last year.

Both were arrested and charged with two counts each of lewd and lascivious behavior.

After a day and a half-long trial, both were found guilty by the jury, who needed only 15 minutes to deliberate.

According to the Assistant State Attorney Anthony Dafonseca, the state will try to push a lighter sentence for Alvarez, who does not have a record.

Caballero, on the other hand, was recently released from prison after serving an eight-year sentence for cocaine trafficking.

Dafonseca says they are planning on serving Caballero the full 15-year sentence in order to send a message to other beachgoers.

He said,

[We] want to make sure that this isn't something that just goes by the wayside... And that it is well known to the community what will be tolerated and what won't be.

So, don't have sex on any beaches in broad daylight, folks, unless you're planning to get arrested.
