Viral Photo Of Giant Huntsman Spider In Australia

Hold me. We can get through this together.

This huntsman spider hanging out on a broom in Queensland, Australia, is so mammoth you can actually see its dead, black eyes staring into your soul, plotting your demise.

It's basically a furry crab and we want no part of this. Nope x 100.

It was found over a year ago by someone who works for Barnyard Betty's Rescue, but is only just now going viral.

The worker who rescued the spider calls it Charlotte. She posted photos on the group's Facebook page and wrote,

She is a Huntsman Spider and we are located in Queensland Australia and yes she is very real and very large and not photo shopped!! I released her here on the farm after rescuing her so I can't get anymore photos or video her I'm sorry. She was a beautiful, calm spider, not aggressive in any way and like most spiders she just wanted to go about her business eating bugs and living in peace. She didn't or doesn't need to be killed! Poor spiders are so misunderstood!

She added,

All creatures great and small are welcome here at Barnyard Betty's Rescue a safe haven no matter how you look!!

We're impressed with you for posing so close with this monster, and while we appreciate your kind words, we don't agree with any of it.

You say beautiful and calm, I say KILL IT WITH FIRE.

Someone on Facebook branded it a "demon spawn." We can get on board with that description.

And we have proof these things are aggressive: Here's one chowing down on a mouse. A MOUSE.

NO. BE GONE, SPIDER. Go back to the fire and brimstone from which you came. Return to your cage on Satan's desk.

As Psalm 9:17 says, "The wicked go down to the realm of the dead, all the nations that forget God."
