This Skydiver Pulled Off An Insane Jump From 25,000 Feet With No Parachute

One could easily make the case that skydiving, in itself, is an insane thing to try to do.

You're jumping out of plane, free-falling in the air and trusting a device that you (in all likelihood) just got acquainted with that day to save you.

Never mind a fear of flying or heights in general. The mere thought of something going wrong in the middle of the air is just terrifying.

Maybe that's just me, but one thing's for certain: Luke Aikins doesn't care about any of that. Not only did the 42-year-old skydiver jump out of a plane from 25,000 feet, he did it without a parachute.

But, that didn't scare him at all. In fact, it excited him.

While explaining the art of his stunt on Friday, he said,

The most exciting thing about this is literally I'm jumping out of an airplane without a parachute. The way I look at it in my head and everything, this [the safety net] is my parachute... It's a massive parachute. I just have it below me instead of above me.

Clearly, it was no big deal to Luke and clearly, he knew what he was doing because he accomplished the jump on Saturday.

Aikins said after the jump,

I'm almost levitating, it's incredible that this thing just happened! The words I want to say, I can't even get out of my mouth... It is awesome.

What a guy.
