Nicholas Salerno, 90, was arrested and charged with soliciting sex for a fee after he called police to inform them a prostitute had stolen from him.

According to The Smoking Gun, the 90-year-old Massachusetts man solicited the services of one Karen Proia after his friend said she would give a blowjob for $100. According to the Dennis Police Department report, the friend gave Salerno the number, and Salerno called Proia to his house.

I don't give a fuck, I'm 90 years old for Christ's sake.

Salerno later told police he gave her $100, she did the deed and then he said Proia went to use the bathroom and left. When he later went to his bedroom, he noticed some things moved and determined that Proia had stolen a gold chain from him.

He waited a week to call the police, Salerno told the officer who wrote the report, because he wanted to give the woman a chance to return it. After she didn't, he decided to call.

According to the police report, Salerno said he wanted Proia arrested for the theft as well as prostitution. When the officer told Salerno he would also be arrested for soliciting sex for a fee, Salerno reportedly said,

I don't give a fuck, I'm 90 years old for Christ's sake.

The officer located the gold chain at a pawn shop where an employee confirmed Proia had pawned it.

According to The Smoking Gun, the charge against Salerno was dropped and his case was closed. On the other hand, Proia was charged with prostitution and larceny.

That all makes sense, I guess. I mean, Salerno is 90 years old. He's obviously in pretty good condition if everything is still working at 90 (God bless him), but really, this wasn't a violent crime and he's just too old for the justice system.

Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe said,

The attorney in court who was handling the arraignment made the decision because of the age of the individual, his difficulty hearing the judge, and his overall infirmity — he was being helped around the courtroom — to dismiss the case against him.

But, I think the police should drop the prostitution charges against Proia. She stole, so the larceny charge makes sense, but hasn't she suffered from prostitution enough? I'm just saying, it can't be all that pleasant to give a 90-year-old man a blowjob.

Either way, Proia's next due in court on September 1.
