Mom Jailed After Ex-BF Sends Himself Death Threats And Claims They're From Her

A mom had to spend the night in jail after her ex-boyfriend framed her for sending death threats, according to Daily Mail.

Melissa Watts of Kent, UK, was arrested and thrown behind bars on the suspicion she told Michael Killick, "You are going to pay."

The 41-year-old was also accused of leaving another note... this time inside the car of Killick's new partner. It was accompanied by a steak knife.

The note read,

You broke my heart you ****. Now it's your time to pay. I will kill you for this. You will get what's coming. If I can't have you no other woman can. You are dead.

She was questioned for several hours by the police, who later released her.

An investigation took place, where a handwriting expert determined the notes were actually written by Killick. It turns out he was hurt by their relationship ending.

The mom of one said,

It was around midnight when the police knocked on my door. I had no idea what was going on, I wondered if I'd accidentally missed a red light or something. But then they told me I was under arrest for making threats to kill. I couldn't believe it. I've never even had so much as a parking ticket before, and here I was, being arrested in the middle of the night.

The couple, who are old school friends, started dating after Melissa separated from her husband in November 2012.

Over the course of their relationship, Melissa claimed Killick repeatedly lied to her.

At one point, Killick allegedly told her he had landed a job with a six-figure salary, but still asked her to lend him some money.

Melissa ended the relationship in January 2014, after Killick refused to pay her back thousands of dollars.

In the months that followed, he continued to harass her. Then, he wrote the notes in a bid to frame his ex.

This August, Killick pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice, and was later sentenced to 14 months in prison.
