McDonald's Breakfast Happy Meals Are About To Make Mornings So Much Better

Mornings at McDonald's just got a little tastier because there's now a breakfast Happy Meal making all of our hash brown dreams come true.

YEAH, that's right. Move over, french fries.

Our beloved McMuffins and McGriddles are about to hog the spotlight with a new Happy Meal menu that's launching in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We're about to road trip to one of the 73 restaurants in the area to try it out for ourselves.

The tiny new menu features options like the Egg & Cheese McMuffin (minus the bacon -- let's not get too greedy), the infamous McGriddle and various sides throughout the day like hash browns, yogurt, apples slices and yes, even fries.

Better than happy hour? I think so.

The genius idea originated from the very successful all-day breakfast that launched last October. Personally, it's been a lifesaver of mine on many occasions throughout the past year.

I mean, who doesn't like breakfast for dinner?

Pam Williams, a director of innovation at McDonald's USA, spoke with USA Today about what sparked the idea for the morning happy meal trial. She said,

All day breakfast has really been a big hit with our customers, and that started from our customers telling us this is what they wanted... Since the launch of all day breakfast, more of our customers have been reaching out to us and asking us for these choices for their kids In the Happy Meals.

Does being 25 exempt me from the breakfast Happy Meal, Pam? Because, hell, I'll be your number one customer.

According to USA Today, the Bonnie Riggs restaurant industry counted 122 million servings of breakfast sandwiches from April to June of this year, and that's not even including morning orders.

I can guarantee you that number will only go up with the breakfast trial. If it does, the breakfast Happy Meal will have a residency on McDonalds' menus throughout the country starting next year.
