People Are Pissed Over This Mattress Store's Offensive 9/11-Themed Commercial

A mattress company in San Antonio, Texas uploaded a video to its facebook page of a commercial mimicking the 9/11 attacks, and it was really not cool.

The commercial is for promoting selling every mattress in the sale for a 'twin price.' In the video, the owner, Cherise Bonnano, stands in front of two men who are next to two stacks of mattresses, and asks viewers,

What better way to remember 9/11 than with a twin tower sale?

Errr... I can think of quite a few ways.

After plugging the mattress sale, the woman opens her arms and knocks over the men along with the piles of mattresses. She screams and then looks into the camera and says (somewhat facetiously),

We'll never forget.

Right.

The commercial quite rightly infuriated viewers for its insensitivity, as well as using such terrorist attacks as a way of marketing a sale.

Miracle Mattress promptly removed the video from Facebook and issued a lengthy apology from the owner of the company, but the video was recorded by a facebook user and uploaded to YouTube.

Whoever came up with the idea of a terrorist attack-themed sale needs to be fired.
