Little Boy Found Next To His Dad's Body Says 'Ninjas' Killed His Family

What is this world coming to?

That just might be a question you'd rather not know the answer to after hearing a 6-year-old boy recount the moment he witnessed a double homicide on Christmas Eve.

The victims were his two parents: 38-year-old Christopher Brooks and 32-year-old Danielle Brooks.

The heartbreaking experience for the 6-year-old took place in Anchorage, Alaska after a group of men demanded "drugs and money" from Christopher who was found slain in a snowbank nearby his home.

A family member spoke to People magazine, saying,

People are going to grab onto the drug aspect, which is too bad. [Danielle] wasn't into drugs. She was a mom who loved her husband and son very much. It's such a loss.

As for his wife Danielle, she was also killed "because she was a witness," according to an affidavit.

The couple's 6-year-old son told investigators,

Ninjas came to my home and killed my family.

According to People, police arrested alleged accomplice Jaylyn Franklin. The 20-year-old's arrest led police to make two other arrests for Lamarkus Mann and Deanthony Harris who were allegedly part of the heinous crime.

Law enforcement has since found Mann to be guilty of firing the lethal shots into Christopher Brooks' head and body.

The killers were reportedly all dressed in black when Christopher pleaded for one of them to "take what he wanted."

Danielle was said to be screaming, "Oh my God, oh my God" from the couch in their home. The report also states that the little boy was instructed by the men to go to his room and remain there.

At that point, Christopher allegedly began "wrestling" over a gun with one of the assailants. He was eventually shot multiple times, which led to his death. Danielle Brooks, who was sitting on the couch, was reportedly shot and killed from an estimated five feet away from the gunman.

Afterward, the four men quickly fled the scene of the crime.

As of now, three of the men have since been charged with first-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree murder and first-degree robbery. The charges are not final and are subject to change.

The fourth man has yet to be arrested by police.

Friends and family took to Facebook to speak on the heartbreaking murder of the couple. Danielle's father Kyle Maze said,

Danielle was a very beautiful person who we love very much. We have always supported and been proud of her determination and hard work to better herself and provide a good life for her son. He was everything to her.

Maze went on to express how happy Christopher made his daughter,

As we witnessed Chris and Danielle's marriage vows less than a year ago it was clear to us that she was happy. This senseless tragedy has not only left our family without our daughter, sister and mother but has left another family without a son, brother and father. Our tears, hearts and prayers go out to Chris's family.

Teresa Goodman, a family friend, spoke to People about the crime, saying,

Danielle was a very beautiful person who we love very much. We have always supported and been proud of her determination and hard work to better herself and provide a good life for her son. He was everything to her. Everyone is so devastated. I don't know if we'll ever get over it.

So, where does this traumatic tragedy leave the Brooks' 6-year-old son? He's currently in the care of their relatives.
