Jared Fogle Will Plead Guilty To Soliciting Sex From Underage Girls

Former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle will reportedly plead guilty to charges related to child pornography and sex with minors.

According to the Associated Press, the 37-year-old appeared in court earlier today and was charged with one count of travel to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and one count of distribution and receipt of child pornography.

Court documents state while in New York, the Indiana native paid to have sex with at least two minors who were 16 and 17 years old at the Plaza Hotel and Ritz Carlton Hotel between 2010 and 2013.

He is said to have asked one of the minors to help organize sex sessions with individuals as young as 14 years old, The Indianapolis Star reports.

Fogle reportedly said to one victim,

The younger the girl, the better.

Fogle, who is married with two children, is also accused of offering adult prostitutes money to find him underage sex partners.

The photos and videos featured children as young as "approximately six years of age." Some of the photographs and videos were taken at Fogle's Indiana home, which was raided by federal and local authorities on July 7.

Fogle's plea agreement states he will pay $1.4 million to 14 minor victims, register as a sex offender and receive treatment for sexual disorders, according to The Associated Press.

As per the agreement, Fogle will not ask for a sentence shorter than five years, and prosecutors will not seek a sentence longer than 12.5 years.

The restaurant chain suspended its relationship with Fogle shortly after his home was raided. It posted this tweet yesterday.

Fogle's wife issued a statement earlier today saying she is looking to dissolve her marriage.

The plea deal has been agreed upon, but the official guilty plea will not be made until a later, unspecified date.
