Amazon Prime Day was launched last year to celebrate the company's 20th birthday. Obviously, it was a roaring success and on average, customers ordered 398 items per second. Although customers did complain that the best items sold out too fast (well, duh).
And this year there are even more deals to choose from. Amazon spokeswoman Julie Law gave this very teasey forecast:
