Just days after announcing his split from One Direction, Zayn Malik's solo career is already off to a promising start.
According to the 22-year-old himself, who was spotted yesterday entering a London studio, Malik has partnered with none other than Naughty Boy, the producer who helped rocket Sam Smith to fame with his debut album, In The Lonely Hour.
In Malik's first official interview after his departure from 1D, he admitted his decision to leave the band “is crazy and wild and a bit mad.”
Despite the spontaneous move Malik says,
At the same time, I've never felt more control in my life. I feel like I'm doing what's right, right by myself and right by the boys, so I feel good.
As for the rest of One Direction, they'll be continuing on with four people and finishing out the remainder of their world tour.
Details of Malik's solo project remain under wraps.
