T-Pain Covers Sam Cooke's 'A Change Is Gonna Come' Without Auto-Tune (Video)

by Stacey Leasca

T-Pain has a well-known signature style.

His auto-tuned songs have been popular for ages, but have you ever heard the man belt it out without all the added technology?

Way back in October 2014, T-Pain paid a visit to NPR Music to play a set for its Tiny Desk Concert series.

Just watch this video for a few minutes and see how you feel about T-Pain after.

Why doesn't he sing like this all the time!?

The video quickly became NPR Music's most-viewed Tiny Desk Concert ever. Now, T-Pain is paying a visit to NPR again to celebrate the success of the video, share a few new songs and show off his "dope ass tie." (Seriously, it's dope.)

This concert may not be as tiny, but damn is it just as good. His new version of "Tipsy" should be featured on the next "50 Shades of Grey" soundtrack.

Also, don't miss his beautiful rendition of Sam Cooke’s classic “A Change Is Gonna Come” around the 12-minute mark.
