People Get Caught Claiming To Love Bands That Don't Exist At SXSW

by Adam Pliskin

Jimmy Kimmel took his show down to Austin, Texas for South By Southwest.

Naturally, that means he messed with a bunch of festivalgoers in order to provide us with another excellent edition of "Lie Witness News."

In true Kimmel fashion, he sent his team out onto the streets of Austin to ask random people if they were fans of totally nonexistent bands. And wouldn't you know it? These randos lied their asses off and said they were.

These segments always amaze me. It's incredible to me that people are so quick to lie just because there's a camera pointed at them. It's shameless.

But, luckily for all of us, it's also hilarious. Thanks for breaking the ninth commandment, you heathens. Check out the video above.
