A Selena Hologram Could Be Going On Tour As Early As 2018

by Adam Pliskin

The freaky digital resurrection train keeps a rollin'.

This time, deceased singer Selena is getting the hologram treatment. Selena was murdered in 1995, but her digital likeness may be coming to a stage near you in 2018.

A company called Acrovirt LLC is the driving force behind the Selena Quintanilla hologram.

They plan to launch a crowdfunding campaign to raise $500,000 to fund the creation of the digital abomination.

Apparently, the hologram will tour as well as record new music. I'm not sure how that works exactly, but that's the plan, according to Acrovirt.

At first, it seemed as if Selena's family was against bringing a digital Selena back from the dead. But they have changed their tune of late.

Selena's sister Suzette said,

By no means is this something that's creepy or weird. We think it's something amazing. A lot of the new fans that did not get to experience what Selena was about hopefully will be able to get a sense of her with this new technology that's going to be coming out.

Personally, I hope this hologram thing is just a passing fad. No matter what people say, it's creepy. Men are not meant to play god.

The hologram will probably look and sound like this:
