How Miracles Are Just A Simple Shift In Perception From Fear To Love
A miracle is just a shift in perception from fear to love.
My sister read this quote to me this past Thanksgiving and it hit me in a big way. The deeper I thought about the message, the more I realized that life is defined by fear and love and it’s up to us to choose how to live it. We bottle up so much fear in what we want to accomplish that we have no room to be passionate about the things we love.
I’ve always felt living in fear to be pointless. From an early age, I somehow knew that life would be a series of obstacles that I needed to overcome and I would always be able to do so because I wouldn’t let fear get in the way of what I loved doing.
Both as a kid and as an adult, I’ve never been one to dwell on the negative or to allow adversity to cloud my vision or to obscure my dream.
I’ve always transferred negative energy into loving energy. When you do this, the universe takes care of the rest personally and professionally. I’ve always sensed that there was a cosmic order to things — a great mystery that we can’t truly understand. I’ve always believed that if you do good, good will come to you, that if you love what you do and those around you, miracles will meet you in your journey.
I’ve always known and appreciated that I was brought up the right way. My father never tired of reminding me of my faith. I had big dreams and expected greatness of myself. I truly believed in myself and was my own biggest competitor — I believed in winning.
But, I’ve also always passionately believed that one should never compromise morality. It’s important that we all live by some accepted moral compass — call it karma, if you will. But I have no doubt that behaving in a decent and honest fashion — being a good person — contributes to future happiness and success. Bad intent and bad deeds lead to future suffering and are generally provoked by fear.
Most of us are born into a loving world. But somewhere along the way, many people lose the uncompromising love we learned as children and become fearful. Fear takes over and traps them — their spiritual journey stops in its tracks. Fear leads people to conduct their lives in immoral and corrupt ways. Fear leads people to sabotage the good in their lives. It can destroy careers and relationships. It can lead to mistakes that can’t be erased. Fear is evil. Fear fosters negativity. Fear provokes anger. Fear makes people rude, manipulative, harsh and cruel.
We need to learn to cut free from the shackles of fear and embrace it with the things we love.
We are born with love — it is the true meaning of life. Love in your heart and mind creates love in all aspects of your life. Sadly, too few people feel enough love in their lives.
The spiritual journey involves giving up fear and accepting love. When we give up being fearful and weak, we become loving and strong. We accept that the power of the universe is within us. We practice forgiveness and we become generous. Forgiving people who have done wrong, both in business and in your personal relationships is key to unlocking inner peace and success.
And let’s not forget — success is never about the money. Success is about creating accomplishment in everything that you do and helping others to become more successful. You can focus on what is going wrong in your life or you can focus on what is going right. It’s your choice. But bear this in mind: whichever one you choose, you’ll get more of the same.
You can choose to be fearful or you can choose to love. When you switch to love… miracles will happen.
