A Gentleman's Call: A GQ And Ketel One Pursuit

The modern gentleman. This species seems to be nearing endangerment as men of virtue, morals, and charisma are getting harder to find. But the vodka brand Ketel One teamed up with the men's magazine GQ on a quest to find the ultimate modern gentleman. The duo began a nationwide competition called "A Gentleman's Call: In Pursuit of an Idea That Matters."

The competition is an effort to search for a gentleman with an original idea to invest in. The idea will champion the lifestyle of the modern gentlemen, highlighting values of entrepreneurship, creativity, philanthropy, and innovation.

The contest closes on July 29. Once it closes, five projects best showing a high standard of thinking and living will be selected.

Consumers will then be able to vote on the ideas to determine who the grand prize winner will be. The lucky winner gets $100,000 to turn the idea into a reality.

“Ketel One Vodka was founded through the passion and drive ignited only from entrepreneurial spirit,” says Carl Nolet Jr., executive vice president of Nolet Spirits USA, which manages Ketel One.

Through 'A Gentleman’s Call' it is our honor to nurture an idea that will grow from the same values we continue applauding and responsibly celebrating after 11 generations of success.

Actor and philanthropist Ian Somerhalder is the face of the competition. Other mentors for the campaign include actor Carlos Ponce and co-founder and CEO of Movember Foundation Adam Garone.

"My fellow mentors and I are honored to lead 'A Gentleman’s Call'” said Adam Garone.

It is a privilege and a true responsibility to guide the next generation of entrepreneurs and help foster an endeavor that will enlighten society’s appreciation for the modern gentleman.
