Sex Shop Without The Sleaze, Condoms & Co, Barcelona

Barcelona-based interior designers Egue & Seta have designed a retail unit for Condoms & Co. The contemporary designed sex shop can be found in Barcelona, Spain.

This singular piece of retail space tries to escape the seediness associated with sex shops, characterised by a long dark hallway flanked by poorly lit erotic photographs.

To achieve this differentiation the design team at Denys & Von Arend opted for a friendlier open space scheme combined with furniture and finishes of rabid coloring along with a powerful set of lights which aim to eliminate the “halo of prohibition” that lingers around this specific type of shops and the industry behind them.
