Refresh And Renew: 5 Ways To Start Over During The Solar Eclipse
Today is a special day, particularly for astrologists, star gazers and believers in cosmic forces.
There is a Solar Eclipse occurring, which is even more interesting than a regular eclipse because it’s a Supermoon and eclipse rolled into one, meaning it's even more impactful on our lives. This is the perfect time to restart and begin again.
How many times do we wish we could hit “reset” on our lives? We subconsciously love new years, new months and even new weeks because it gives us the chance to start over with a clean slate.
Well, there is no better chance at that clean slate than today.
This March, the Solar Eclipse delivers the system reboot we all need to help us get to bigger and better things. It ironically (and not so coincidently) also comes on the very first day of spring.
As the seasons are changing, we should recognize the energy surrounding us is changing, as well.
Although, in the United States, we will not be able to physically see the Eclipse at all, we will definitely be able to feel it.
Unless you live in the highlighted areas of the below map, you’re not going to see much of anything. But, the effect will speak for itself.
Something new is awaiting, and it’s up to us to seize the opportunity. After today, the only direction is forward.
So, to help you make the most of this epic Solar Eclipse, here are five ways to reset and restart various parts of your life:
Refresh Your Space
There’s a reason it’s called spring cleaning. What better time to clean and reorganize your life than on the first day of spring AND during the solar eclipse?
Go through your closets and rooms, and make piles of the things you don’t use, don’t wear or don’t need. You’ll feel a weight lifted as you rid your personal space of all the unnecessary clutter.
A little feng shui won’t hurt, either. Now is the time to rearrange some furniture and redecorate the place in which you spend so much time. Organizing and clearing away clutter will create a fresh, new space for the new you.
Plus, you’ll benefit from the mental clarity it comes with.
Reboot Your Body
Jumpstart your diet and heal your body from the inside out. The easiest way to clean out some toxins is to get your blood moving.
Sweating is a natural way to cleanse the body, hence the term “sweat it out.” Hit the treadmill, or take a yoga class; just get moving. Drinking lots of water is another great way to flush out your system.
Most importantly, use today as the day you firmly commit to your health and body.
Revamp Your Career
If you’re unhappy at work, or with the career path you’re currently on, use this time to change that.
If your drive has reached a plateau, or your success has become stagnant, it’s time to revamp.
Discuss your ideas with your boss or coworkers. Get vocal about areas you want to become more involved in and projects you want to take on. Make the most of what you have and look to all your resources to help you advance.
You’d be surprised where a helping hand might lie.
Dive Into Your Dreams
Remember all those dreams you put on the back burner because real life and responsibilities were getting in the way? Dust them off and bring them back to the surface.
Now is the time to harvest your dreams and finally do the things you want.
Commit to whatever it is you have been wanting for yourself. Whether you want to write a novel or become a spin instructor, all it takes is the first step to get you off the ground.
Participate in classes or group lessons if it’s an area you’re not as skilled in; take on more projects that relate to your dreams, and surround yourself with people who are doing what you want to do.
Revise Your Schedule
Time ends up going fast, but life is only as short as you make it. You’ll never “find” time for anything. If you want time, you’ll have to create it.
Use this opportunity of renewal to create more time for what you love and enjoy. If there are people you don’t get to see often, set firm dates with them and don’t break them.
If you love running, but just can’t find the time, rework your schedule so you will always have a half hour to hit the pavement.
Figure out where you’re wasting time and fill those gaps with the things you know you want to be doing. If not now, then when?
