One of the weirdest parts about driving is that we trust total strangers in control of thousands of pounds of metal moving at impressive speeds not to screw up as much as possible (and they expect the same in return).

As a result, there are certain laws in place to ensure people pay attention to the road and cars ahead of them, and people are expected to follow them because that's how laws work.

Unfortunately, there's no effective way to keep stupid people from getting behind the wheel.
