Season 3 of Bridgerton may not be returning until 2024, but fans can enjoy browsing Allure Bridals’ newest collection inspired by the Netflix series. The Bridgerton Wedding Collection, which was created with costume designer Lyn Paolo, features dreamy gowns inspired by both Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte.

While taking inspo from the Regency era, Nikki Deeds, Allure Bridals Global Brand Director tells Elite Daily the wedding dresses in the Bridgerton collection are “modern and eminently wearable for today’s bride.” You’ll even find colorful gowns and newer silhouettes that are sure to be the talk of the Ton.

Certain wedding dresses may remind you of your favorite characters, but Deeds says the collection is more of an homage than exact replicas of the costumes worn in Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte.

Along with Bridgerton aesthetics, 2023 wedding style trends were also an inspiration for the collection, like “luxe finish fabrics” and a statement sleeve — which are both represented in this design.

Some of the wedding dresses feature multiple style trends, like this gorgeous combo of “heritage maximalism and quiet luxury.”

Cadourcy says there’s been a resurgence of “ultra-sparkly feminine” wedding dresses, so they added plenty of designs with luxe finishes like floral appliqués and soft lace.

Allure Bridals Chief Marketing Officer Raquel Cadourcy says, “We’re also seeing brides flock to fuller coverage,” which was the inspo behind this “ethereal, long-sleeved chiffon dress.”

While Allure Bridals got pointers from what current brides are searching for, they also took inspiration from predicted 2024 wedding dress trends — which include “more unique graphic textiles, dimensional appliqués, and multi-textural gowns.”

Black may not be the first color that comes to mind when you’re thinking of wedding dresses, but Deeds says “unexpected use of color” was a fun design element they played with in this collection, too.

Another colorful standout for Deeds is the mauve puff sleeved ballgown, which pays tribute to Bridgerton’s iconic wisteria blooms.

Out of all the dresses in the collection, this tulle gown with soft floral embroidery is one of Deeds’ favorites because of “the muted multicolored blossoms.”

While dressmakers consulted wedding trends, many of the Bridgerton gowns feature Regency era details that you won’t find in most current bridal designs, like this dress that looks like something straight out of Queen Charlotte’s closet.

Taking inspo from the steamy romances in both Bridgerton series, some of the dresses had details that were made to be “seductive and uniquely playful,” like the exposed boning in this corset-inspired design.

Other Bridgerton period-inspired details like puffed sleeves and square necklines also influenced many of the wedding dress designs. Deeds says Regencycore fashion coming back in style “couldn’t have come at a better time.”
