Maybe 2017 won't be a total disappointment after all.

Remember Twinkies? Well, they're back, and they're better than ever. The classic snack cake that's been around since 1930 just received a major makeover.

Let's just say if you like ice cream and cake, you're in for quite a treat.

There are limited edition batches of new Twinkies ice cream floating around out there somewhere that will make you willingly kiss your new year's resolution goodbye.

It turns out the new flavor, which has been introduced alongside a Sno Balls flavor, will be exclusive to Dollar General locations beginning in February until May. Other new limited edition ice cream flavors include CupCakes and DingDongs.

Whoever made the decision not to make Twinkies ice cream a forever-thing obviously wants the world to be a better place. I mean, could you imagine if you were able to get your hands on a tub of this stuff for the rest of your life?!

No, thanks. A month is more than enough time to hate ourselves for ditching our fitness routines and stuffing our faces with cake ice cream (basically) instead.

Overall, it's just great to see Twinkies getting a second chance at life. Back in 2012, Twinkies' parent company Hostess Brands filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after a wave of financial mishaps.

The reason for its near-failure?

Whatever, Chris Christie.

Apparently, Hostess cited their customers' shifting of their diet focuses to consume healthier foods as one of the main reasons for the company's downfall.

In other words, people weren't feeling miniature cream-filled cakes anymore. Instead, they turned to guacamole and chocolate-covered quinoa (probably).

But that's a thing of the past. In 2017, Hostess plans to win your sweet tooth back once and for all. And this time, they're adding ice cream to the recipe.

So, where the fuck is there a Dollar General?!
