Superheroes don't have to be the strongest looking people in the world.
They can be anyone from any race and all walks of life.
As a matter of fact, if you've ever had a chance to watch superhero movies like Spider-Man and Daredevil, you're walked through the early stages of each hero's life before they discovered their powers.
However, often times it's forgotten that anyone can be considered a hero and that you don't have to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger when he was 23 to do so.
That's precisely why Dubai-based photographer Martin Beck composed a series of photos highlighting the different types of people that could be considered superheroes regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender or age.
Fan favorites like Superman, Captain America and Iron Man are included the in Beck's series which is appropriately titled "We Can Be Heroes."
In a recent interview with the Huffington Post, Beck revealed,
I had the idea of portraying superheroes in an alternative way. When we think of heroes, we think of beautiful faces, perfect bodies and how they achieve unbelievable feats with their powers etc. But in reality, most of us are not like that at all.
