Artist Creates Amazing Modern Portraits Based On Iconic Celebrity Photos

We've all had daydreams of what it would be like to live as a movie star in the days of old Hollywood glamour.

Oftentimes, we associate these celebs with red carpet images and fail to remember they're still normal people with families just like everyone else.

Recently, art director Bebe Leone teamed up with photographer Filippo Avandero, and set out to create a new visual series that captures portraits inspired by vintage iconic images.

Titled, #myheritageandi, her incredible Instagram photography project mimics touching family photos of celebrities and even includes a few of their adorable, beloved pets.

To make these awesome pictures, Leone carefully studies the original image and gives the recreated photo a contemporary upgrade by selecting the perfect models, makeup, clothing and location for the photoshoot.

According to Leone,

The idea was to tell playful family stories: all the characters are styled with witty humor in unusual and often irreverent postures, to show that a certain 'joie de vivre' brings together, despite time lapses and generational gaps.

All of the images in her #myheritageandi series are pretty awesome, and some of her recreated portraits were even featured in Avandero's Ritratti exhibition in Milan earlier this year.

Take a look at the photos below to see Leone's amazing recreated portraits.
