KISS Frontman Gene Simmons' Home Searched In Connection With Child Porn

by Eitan Levine

TMZ reports police raided the home of KISS member Gene Simmons to look for evidence of child porn.

The LAPD's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force reportedly entered the Simmons' residence on Thursday morning with a search warrant, seizing computers and other evidence. Police allegedly told TMZ someone on the Simmons' network, either on a computer in the house or just connected to the family's Internet, downloaded child pornography.

No one from the Simmons family is a suspect, and the investigation is still ongoing.

In a statement, Sgt. Mike Lopez told Entertainment Tonight,

The Simmons family was extremely cooperative and no members of the Simmons family are suspected in the case.

Gene was apparently away on tour when the downloads occurred, but he spent the better part of the last 12 hours tweeting articles about how he wasn't involved in the sting.

Simmons' wife, Shannon Tweed Simmons, also tweeted about the incident.

Thanks for your support. We couldn't be more horrified that someone used our residence for such heinous crimes. Law enforcement is on it. — Mrs ShannonTSimmons (@shannonleetweed) August 21, 2015
