Here's The Totally Honest Advice J Law Would Give Her Middle-School Self (Video)

by Taylor Ortega

If only Jennifer Lawrence and I weren't in middle school at the same time, I could have had her to casually advise me on the many woes of adolescence.

In a recent video interview with Glamour, J Law is asked what advice she'd give to her middle-school self.

Considering the Academy Award winner attended middle school in the early 2000s, possibly the worst era for tween fashion in recent history, her advice is real as hell.

She insists,

School is hard. Being a teenager is awful. I wouldn't go back in time for anything. So I guess I would just say, 'This is gonna suck. There's nothing you can do about it, but you will grow out of this one day and become an adult, and everything will be better.' But! You get zits your whole life. Nobody ever tells you that.

Damn straight, sister.

Lawrence also shares her favorite curse word (f*ckery), her signature scent (“I smell like a cabernet”) and the pal she'd choose to help her hide a dead body (director David O. Russell, natch).

Keep telling it like it is, Jen. We live for it.
