'Inside Out' Edited Without The Emotions Will Still Make You Feel Things (Video)

by Taylor Ortega

Editing Amy Poehler out of anything is a crime on par with burning down the White House, yet University of Utah film student Jordan Hanzon somehow found a way to do so without incurring the wrath of an entire nation.

Hanzon edited “Inside Out” down to a 15-minute clip, which includes only Riley's scenes and leaves out all of the action occurring inside the characters' heads.

Joy, Sadness, Fear and Disgust make the full-length movie funny, layered and twice as touching, but “Inside Out: Outside Edition” holds up in the league of Pixar animated shorts.

Even in its edited form, the film is sure to resonate with anyone who struggled through adolescence, moved to a new place, experienced any basic life changes or simply appreciates a solid midday cry.
