Here, let me get some mood-setting music as we look back on this former national treasure.
As much as the Fourth of July is a time of happiness, it is also a time of self-reflection and remembrance.
So let us all take a moment to acknowledge this is the first Fourth of July in a full two Fourth of Julys we will not be able to watch Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift be an adorable couple in some fancy location.
No shirtless Calvins giving Taylor a piggyback ride. No candid shots of Taylor cooking barbecue meat. No quirky snaps, no booty slaps. If only a year ago you knew 2015 was such an amazing time to be alive.
Although these Instagram posts have all technically been deleted off of their respective accounts, they still live on in our hearts… and computer caches.
"I will remember you/ Will you remember me?" (from Taylor's Instagram)
"Don't let your life pass you by." (from Taylor's Instagram)
"Weep not for the memories." (from Calvin's Instagram)
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."
