The First Trailer For 'The BFG' Is Finally Here And It's Magical (Video)

After nearly 25 years in the making, Roald Dahl's “The BFG” is finally coming to theaters.

The feature film, directed by Steven Spielberg, stars Mark Rylance as the titular giant and Ruby Barnhill as the main character, Sophie.

CGI animation will bring the creepy-kitschy story to life, and a dedicated production team — producers Frank Marshall and Kathleen Kennedy have been tied to the project since 1991 — have reportedly worked hard to keep the film true to Dahl's original tale.

“The BFG” doesn't hit theaters until July 1, but you can check out the first trailer for the movie, above.
