Don't let the working class rhetoric of Lorelai in "Gilmore Girls" fool you — quaint small towns in Connecticut are expensive AF.

Sure, the fictional Stars Hollow is charming, but have you seen the size of some of the houses there? That kind of real estate is not meant for the poor.

Now, I'll be honest — I rent an apartment in Manhattan and know virtually nothing about home buying.

But Google tells me the average cost to buy a house in the US these days is around $200,000.

And thanks to some experts at the real estate site Trulia, we can compare that average to the homes of the characters we know and love in Stars Hollow.

1. Lorelai and Rory's house

Lorelai and Rory's dope pad was pretty valuable, coming up at $450,000.

Sure, the appliances may seem modest, but their location is prime, and don't forget about all those awesome renovations Luke gave them for free.

2. Luke's apartment

Luke is speaking my language more with his converted apartment that was once his father's work office, which is estimated at $171,000.

That's only, like, four years worth of salaries!

3. Lane, Zack, and Brian's house

Hep Alien's house was even less than Luke's at $165,000.

Rock 'n roll and angry mothers are not included in that price, though.

4. Sookie's house

Sookie wins the prize for the most expensive house in Stars Hollow at $685,000. I mean, just look at it — it's huge.

But if it comes with her cooking, that might be worth it, honestly.

So, there you have it!

While there are some cheap options in Stars Hollow for bachelors like Luke or young folk like Lane, real home owning is kinda pricey in that town.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm not sure I can afford to move there just yet.

I'll stick with my apartment and settle for going to Stars Hollow virtually, when "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" premieres on Netflix this November 25.
