Stephen Hawking Says Zayn Could Still Be Part Of 1D In Another Universe

by Adam Pliskin

Amid the brouhaha surrounding Zayn Malik's departure from One Direction, one vital voice had gone unheard: that of theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking.

Hawking is probably the least likely person to speak about the boy band's troubles, but that's exactly what he did at a recent lecture at the Sydney Opera House.

A live hologram feed of Hawking was beamed into the opera house for the talk about physics, space and time.

During the question and answer session, a member of the audience asked Hawking,

What do you think is the cosmological effect of Zayn leaving One Direction and consequently breaking the hearts of millions of teenage girls across the world?

Hawking responded,

Finally, a question about something important. My advice to any heartbroken young girl is to pay close attention to the study of theoretical physics. Because one day there may well be proof of multiple universes. It would not be beyond the realms of possibility that somewhere outside of our own universe lies another different universe — and in that universe, Zayn is still in One Direction.

There you have it, heartbroken One Directioners. Zayn may still be in 1D; the only issue is it might be in an alternate universe.
