On Tuesday, Christopher "Big Black" Boykin of the hit MTV series "Rob & Big" passed away.

TMZ reports it looks like the beloved body guard suffered a heart attack. He was 45 years old.

Attention then turned to Rob Dyrdek, who was like a brother to Boykin and soared to fame with him on "Rob & Big" and "Fantasy Factory."

The skateboard mogul and TV personality posted a moving tribute to Boykin, sharing the following photos and message on Instagram.

His first photo was of the two of them hanging out in their Fantasy Factory.

Rob wrote,

My heart is broken. I don't want to write this post. I don't want to believe that this is reality. I am so thankful for you. We truly were brothers that lived an unexpected unforgettable adventure. I just can't fathom that it would end so suddenly. You will forever be in my heart.

The duo was extremely playful, and could often be found goofing around in costumes, breaking Guinness World Records or pranking their friends and family.

Rob also posted a sweet photo of Boykin and his son, Kodah.

He captioned the photo,

I am so thankful for this moment... thank you for being an amazing human being and brother.

Perhaps the most memorable part of the "Rob and Big" series is when Rob and Christopher welcomed their pets, a bulldog and mini horse, into their family.

Big Black allegedly left television when his wife, Shannon, became pregnant in 2008 with their daughter, Isis.

Shannon recently reached out on Christopher's social media, posting from his Twitter to express her grief.

Hollywood Life notes that she does refer to herself as an "ex," but there is no official documentation of a divorce, and presumably she could mean "widow."

We send support and love to everyone close to Boykin during this hard time.
