Some Celebs Used To Have Underground Tunnels To The Playboy Mansion

by Adam Pliskin

Hanging out at the Playboy Mansion is a fantasy for many men.

But, imagine if you had a tunnel underneath your home that led directly to Hugh Hefner's abode. How amazing would that be?

Well, it turns out a few lucky celebrities allegedly had such tunnels at some point in the late 1970s.

Playboy staff members were digging through some old photos when they came upon pictures of underground tunnels being built beneath the mansion.

Naturally, this piqued their interests. Then, they found blueprints suggesting tunnels were built to the homes of four massive Hollywood stars: Warren Beatty, Jack Nicholson, Kirk Douglas and James Caan.

Apparently, all four of these men lived in the vicinity of the Playboy Mansion during the time period.

Think about how much time these guys must have spent at the mansion if they had underground tunnels directly from their homes to the place.

Unfortunately, it seems as if the tunnels have since been closed up. Reportedly, they were sealed off in 1989 -- around the time when Hugh Hefner married Playmate Kimberley Conrad.

Though, I'm hoping it's just a convenient excuse and these babies are still in use today.

Here are the blueprints the people over at Playboy dug up:
