AMC Theaters Are Bringing Back 'Purple Rain' For One Weekend Only

In the wake of Prince's death, fans across the country are attempting to grasp the loss of such an influential pop icon. AMC hopes to help alleviate the pain by showing "Purple Rain" in theaters for a limited time only at 87 theaters across the country.

In honor of the late singer, AMC will be showing viewings of Prince's rock musical drama from Saturday, April 23, through Thursday, April 28. Carmike Cinemas has also promised to show the movie at 80 of their own theaters. So, if you're feeling blue and looking for something to do this weekend, a trip to the movie theater might just be the perfect thing.
