2 Chainz Paid A Veteran's Rent For A Year And Her Reaction Is Priceless (Video)

Rappers are often known for their excess, but 2 Chainz is the exception to the rule.

Yesterday, the rapper visited a low-income family in Palmetto, Georgia to gift them with a houseful of new furniture — and enough cash to pay their rent for a year.

The random act of kindness was funded by Chainz' Tru Foundation, an organization which raises money for families in need.

The recipient of the generous gift, Deirdre Plater, is a disabled veteran and single parent.

She tells CBS News,

It's hard to keep gas in the car, food in the house, and do everything by myself being a single parent. I am on a fixed income… I love to see stuff like this happen for other people, but I never thought it would happen to me.
