Drunk Woman Reportedly Attacked Her Boyfriend With A Mounted Sailfish

by Stacey Leasca

One Michigan man may want to re-think his fishing habits.

A Whitehall, Michigan couple reportedly came home around 1:45 am on Sunday morning after a night of drinking.

The man, 61, decided 2 am felt like the right time to sit down and sketch a picture of his prized mounted sailfish.

Sailfish, for the non-fishermen in the crowd, is a common game catch well-known for its large dorsal fin and sword-like bill, according to the New York Daily News. The fish can grow up to five feet in length and can be found in the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans.

The man's 58-year-old girlfriend, however, thought the middle of the night was an inopportune time for him to be drawing. According to reports, she got angry, moved the fish and left the room.

When she returned, she discovered the large fish had fallen and broken into pieces. It was then she decided it was time for a fish duel. She reportedly took the fish's large bill and began poking her boyfriend with it.

Her pokes resulted in cuts to his hand and reported injuries to his head.

Police did not arrest the woman for apparent "medical reasons," however, the local prosecutor's office is considering charges.

Moral of the story is, don't try to be Picasso at 2 am after a night of Halloween drinking.
