This 'Smart Condom' Tracks How Good A Guy Is In Bed And Tells You If He Has STDs
Ladies, have you ever wished there was a piece of technology that could just tell you if the person you're about to sleep with has STDs?
Men, have you ever wished there was a way to track your own sexual performance, kind of like a video game?
WELL, SPEAK NO MORE. TECHNOLOGY HAS HEARD YOUR CRY.
British Condoms has created the first "smart condom," called i.Con, which keeps track of certain sexual endurance skills — duration, speed, girth and calories burned — during a romp session And it can even detect if a man has chlamydia or syphilis.
We get it, i.Con. You're an overachiever.
Basically, you wear the condom as normal, and an adjustable, reusable ring worn at the base of the condom stores all of this information anonymously using nano-chip and Bluetooth technology.
Users even have the option to share this "data" with their friends and, well, everyone if they choose to....
*crickets chirping noise*
So far, over 90,000 people have pre-ordered the i.Con for the price of £59.99 (about $74). And, like, correct me if I'm wrong, but that sounds kind of cheap for something like this?
Lead i.Con engineer Adam Leverson says the added feature of being able to detect certain STIs is really what makes the condom special
He said,
Not only have we innovated the world's first smart condom ring - that'll measure pretty much every aspect of performance in the bedroom - but now I'm pleased to confirm that it will also have built-in indicators to alert the users to any potential STIs present.
Spokesperson for British Condoms Aaron Slater added that the team "wanted something more, and the addition of an STI indicator has certainly done that."
For now, the i.Con is in its final stages of testing, and I honestly can't imagine what's included in that process. (Just kidding, I can.)
One thing is for sure: I can only assume this product will have some dope Black Friday deals coming out around the holidays at Best Buy. Here's hoping!
