Halloween Horror Nights has made an epic return to Universal Orlando. For its 31st year, HHN is ringing in Oct. 31 with traditional Halloween characters like jack-o’-lanterns and witches. The Universal Orlando version of Halloween Horror Nights 2022 has 10 all-new haunted houses, ranging from original ideas to well-known horror films like Halloween. Since lines can get long, you’ll want to know where to head to first when you enter the park. 9. Descendants of Destruction

Anyone who has wondered what it’s like inside the tunnels of NYC’s subway system will get their chance to explore it in this post-apocalyptic house filled with mutants. Rachel Chapman

8. The Horrors of Blumhouse

Fans of Freaky and The Black Phone will enjoy seeing scenes from the films recreated IRL. However, this house felt disjointed between the two. Bonus points, though, are awarded to the LOL-worthy Freaky deaths. Rachel Chapman

7. Spirits of the Coven

You begin in a 1920s speakeasy run by flapper witches, and travel through to see those same witches turn into haggard versions of themselves. It’s a fun story and the speakeasy has hilarious details. Attractions 360/YouTube

4. Bugs: Eaten Alive

If roaches, spiders, and ants crawling around you are your worst nightmare, this house is not for you. At times, you’ll even feel like you’re walking into spiderwebs and flying insects. Rachel Chapman
