When it comes to power couples, Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews’ relationship is everything and more. Really, the only thing more impressive than this couple’s athletic careers is their commitment and devotion to each other.
Mahomes and Matthews are high school sweethearts. It takes a strong relationship to last from high school to adulthood, but Mahomes and Matthews have more than managed it. In March 2021, they shared their nine-year anniversary.
Mahomes and Matthews bought a $1.925 million Mission Hills home together in 2019, He told Bleacher Report, "I think the people are what we love the most about Kansas City. We're trying to be here for a long, long time."
Mahomes and Matthews are both ambitious. Mahomes has competed in two Super Bowls and won the trophy in 2020. After leaving her athletic career in Iceland, Matthews started Brittany Lynne Fitness, creating “exercise programs for people at all stages on their fitness journey.”
The same night Mahomes received his Super Bowl ring, he gave an engagement ring to Matthews. Fate, right? Matthews shared the news on IG. “On a day that was meant to celebrate you, you turned it into celebrating us. It’s always us, it’s always you and me... Cheers to spending our lifetime together and an inseparable bond,” she wrote.
In Sept. 2020, Mahomes announced they were expecting a baby girl! Matthews shared a picture of the sonogram on Instagram, “Mom & Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding ❤️.” So sweet!
Matthews and Mahomes have had a lot of good times together, but they’re just as supportive of each other when things get hard. On Feb. 7, 2021, she took to Twitter after his Super Bowl loss. “Not how we wanted it to end, but 15 played his heart out and I’m always and forever proud of him in everything he does!”
In Feb. 2021, they welcomed their first daughter, Sterling Skye Mahomes. Later that month, Matthews wrote on IG, “When I thought I knew love. Then I saw your face for the first time.” Aw!
