At the star-studded affair on Saturday, Oct. 15, the Don’t Worry Darling director freed the nipple in a crystal-studded gown that left little to the imagination.
The dress — which was from Alexandre Vauthier’s spring 2022 couture collection — was dripping in silvery sparkles, and accented with a pastel pink, feathered trim that grazed the floor.
The elegant design also featured long sleeves and structured shoulders that got right to the *point*.
Wilde’s gala moment could be added to the list of glamorous naked dress moments throughout history.
In recent months, A-listers like Zendaya, Kendall Jenner, and Vanessa Hudgens all went sheer with their fashion leading up to Wilde’s big reveal.
Most notably, Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling costar Florence Pugh freed the nipple at the Valentino Haute Couture Fall/Winter 22/23 fashion show in July.
Miss Flo received major criticism for her attire and her body, but she fought back with her whole chest (pun intended). “It isn’t the first time and certainly won’t be the last time a woman will hear what’s wrong with her body [from] a crowd of strangers,” Pugh wrote at the time, adding that “what’s worrying is just how vulgar some of you men can be.”
