Dixie D’Amelio’s 2021 VMAs look was impeccably trendy. She wore a black satin dress, the middle of which is pretty much nonexistent given the enormous triangular cutout. But, D’Amelio didn’t stop there. Her floor-length gown also had a thigh-high slit, so she could serve fans abs and legs. And D’Amelio’s VMAs look only gets better from there.

The triangle cutout in the bodice of D’Amelio’s dress makes the top reminiscent of the scarf shirts people can’t get enough of. The thin-strapped, halter neckline flairs at the bottom of her clavicles into two larger strips of black.

D’Amelio’s dress is understated, without a hint of sequins anywhere. But that doesn’t make it boring. It’s made from a very shiny satin, so every move she makes shows the dress’ shine.

D’Amelio joins the ranks of the celebrities forgoing necklaces at the VMAs, opting only for earrings and rings.

To go with her slinky dress, D’Amelio’s hair is slicked back into a tight, spiky bun. She’s looking sleek from head to toe.

Glossy lips were everywhere on the red carpet, and D’Amelio didn’t disappoint in that area. She wore an orange-y, brown lip that paired beautifully with her bronzed complexion.

Don’t miss D’Amelio’s metallic acrylic nails. They pair well with her silver shoes and jewelry without calling too much attention to themselves.

The D’Amelios are a package deal, and although their outfits don’t match exactly, they are complementary. Both sported outfits made of sheeny satin and strappy heels. Overall, both looks had a ‘90s through-line to connect them.
