Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings’ 2023 wedding dress collection is here with princess-inspired gowns for your own happily ever after. Belle fans will especially be enchanted by this year’s Beauty and the Beast wedding dress, thanks to all the magical details that allude to a tale old as time.
The princess-inspired wedding dress was made to be as “timeless and classic” as Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Deeds revealed that the team used a really “soft Mikado,” a gorgeous type of silk, for the gown.
The fit of the wedding dress also took some cues from Belle’s iconic gown from the movie. Its “beautiful fitted bodice with a lace up corset back” is a show-stopping detail your guests can see as you’re walking down the aisle.
Another feature of the Belle wedding dress that’s similar to her gown in Beauty and Beast is that it’s also off-the-shoulder with romantic drape sleeves.
“One thing we did in this collection is we added more accessories, so the bride can really kind of personalize her look for the ceremony or the reception afterwards,” Deeds said. The sleeves on the Belle gown are detachable to “give two different looks,” which is always a popular wedding trend.
Adding some drama to the “timeless and understated” Belle wedding dress is a delicate train and bow in the back. While Deeds says the bow “really speaks to Belle,” you can remove it since it’s also detachable.
Belle has become synonymous with the enchanted rose from Beauty and the Beast, so of course, they had to find a way to add that imagery into the new wedding dress as well. Deeds revealed that on the train, they “incorporated a beautiful rose motif in the lace.”
