Rihanna's Met Gala 2023 Outfit Change Included A Baby Bump Moment

Diamonds *wish* they could shine bright like RiRi.

You can add Rihanna’s 2023 Met Gala look to the list of her best pregnancy fashion moments, because talk about slay.

The “Diamonds” singer kicked off the night at the Carlyle Hotel, alongside partner A$AP Rocky.

The loved-up pair could be seen leaving their accommodations hours after most of their fellow celebs headed to the event, with Rihanna wearing an oversized fur coat.

The outerwear in question was from Fendi's fall/winter 1997 ready-to-wear collection, in keeping with the theme of the evening: “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” (The fashion designer served as the brand’s creative director until his death in 2019.)

Despite her and her kilted partner’s fashionably late appearance to the red carpet, the Fenty (not to be confused with Fendi) founder’s ensemble was well worth the wait.

Similar to Blake Lively’s Met Gala 2022 dress, Rihanna’s custom Valentino gown had a train for days — one that took up multiple steps on the elaborate carpet.

The Grammy winner ditched the fur coat in favor of a structured ivory top covered in rosettes, a Lagerfeld signature.

Although her face could barely be seen at first, Rihanna’s look was accessorized with white sunglasses featuring bold fake lashes, paired with an equally bold red lip.

Since Mother RiRi always stays mothering, she made sure to take a moment to show off her baby bump, which she debuted at the Super Bowl earlier this year, before heading inside.

In true Rihanna fashion, her neck was iced with pearls and, you guessed it, diamonds — reportedly worth a cool $25 million, according to Page Six.

Considering Rihanna’s style when she was pregnant with her first baby was next-level, this look proves that the best is yet to come.
