Welp.

Besides BTS’ jaw-dropping “Butter” performance, one of the group’s other most discussed moments at the 2022 Grammys was their awkward interaction with Trevor Noah. When the host stopped to chat with the group, he made a Squid Game joke that didn’t exactly land with ARMY.

While speaking to the group, Noah tried to “show off” his Korean-language skills by singing the “Red Light, Green Light” song from Netflix’s Squid Game.

Some fans found the joke cringe-worthy and wondered why, out of all the Korean phrases he could have said to BTS, Noah had to pick something from Squid Game.

Fans think it was totally a missed opportunity for Noah to introduce himself in Korean instead.

Noah could have also discussed a number of other things with BTS, such as, I don’t know, their upcoming “Permission to Dance” concerts in Las Vegas?

ARMY couldn’t get over BTS’ reactions when Noah attempted to sing in Korean. Jungkook appeared speechless. Just look at this close-up of his reaction!

Of course, ARMY wasted no time creating memes of the awkward moment.

BTS and Noah’s Grammys interaction was unforgettable, to say the least.
