It’s taken a long time for Billie Eilish’s “No Time to Die” to reach the Oscars stage. The James Bond theme was released in early 2020; however, because the movie No Time to Die was delayed due to lockdown delaying the film’s release, Eilish’s song didn’t get its Best Original Song nom until this year.

Eilish was joined on stage by her brother, frequent collaborator, and fellow Oscar-nominee, Finneas.

Eilish and Finneas were nominated for Best Original Song. Beyoncé, Reba McEntire and Sebastián Yatra also performed other nominated songs during the ceremony.

Even better, Eilish and Finneas won Best Original Song. “You guys, oh my gosh, this is so unbelievable [that] I could scream,” she said during her acceptance speech.

Eilish and Finneas delivered a powerhouse performance befitting of the anthemic song, and it shook the 2022 Oscars ceremony.

Billie looked and sounded absolutely gorgeous, wearing her second all-black look of the night.

This is a triumphant return to the Oscars stage for Eilish. She and Finneas performed the Beatles’ “Yesterday” in 2020. Later, Eilish said in an interview with Zane Lowe that she felt she’d “bombed” the performance, noting she’d been sick leading up the show.

I’m no singing expert, but Eilish sounded perfect during the March 27 telecast. Congrats to this new Oscar-winner.
