Charli's 2021 PCAs Red Carpet Look Was So Unlike Her

It was Old Hollywood glam at its finest, and I'm obsessed.

Your favorite TikTok star just took over the 2021 People’s Choice Awards, and Charli D’Amelio’s dress slayed the game. The bright red, Dolce & Gabbana number was an exciting modern take on Old Hollywood. She even paired it with a brown lip for a wintery touch.

The carpet may not be red, but that didn’t stop D’Amelio from taking on the bold color. Its deep red color was eye-catching, daring, and just a touch playful.

Let’s hear it for the back of the dress. The ruching really popped, giving D’Amelio’s gown a graphic look while the dark buttons kept it vintage.

While it may not have been cold in Los Angeles, D’Amelio went wintery with her brown lip. To offset the shade, the TikToker wore blushy cheeks and big, gravity-defying lashes.

Going against the current trend of slinky dresses, D’Amelio’s gown was clearly inspired by the 1930s, trumpet style. The extra kick of fabric not only made it easier to walk, but added a fun flick of movement to the hem.

The sweetheart, strapless bodice made D’Amelio’s super sparkly choker pop against her collarbones. Would it really be an e-girl red carpet moment without a choker? Oh, and of course she had to pose with none other than Avani Gregg.

D’Amelio evoked retro-glam, even with her wavy hair at the PCAs. The dramatic side bangs played up the soft swoops of her lush hair.

When it comes to details, the hourglass stitching on the front of her gown gave her dress a sewn-on feel. And, it was only the second dress D’Amelio tried on for the awards show. Talk about a winner!
