Starbucks Vs. Dunkin’: Toasted White Chocolate

Dunkin’ launched a new Toasted White Chocolate Signature Latte for the 2021 holiday season. I tasted it alongside Starbucks’ OG Toasted White Chocolate Mocha , which debuted in 2017, to see how they stack up. Courtesy of Dunkin'

The Toasted White Chocolate Mocha is made with 2% milk, toasted white chocolate mocha sauce, and espresso. It’s topped with whipped cream, holiday sugar sparkles, and crispy white pearls. Order it hot or iced. Starbucks

Dunkin’s new Toasted White Chocolate Signature Latte is made with whole milk, toasted white chocolate-flavored swirl syrup, and espresso. Its festive toppings include whipped cream, caramel swirl, and cinnamon-sugar. It’s available hot or iced. Courtesy of Dunkin'

Taste: Starbucks

The whipped cream melted almost immediately, but its sweetness and the candy topping hit me right away. It’s a sweet drink with not much espresso flavor, but it goes down smooth. There are consistent white chocolate and mocha flavors in every sip. Courtesy of Starbucks

The first sip brings a subtle sweetness from the white chocolate flavor and melted whipped cream, but you can really taste the espresso. I didn’t taste the cinnamon-sugar or caramel toppings. As you drink, the sweetness builds, and the aftertaste becomes less bitter. Courtesy of Dunkin'
