Ever since the beloved word game Wordle made its official move to The New York Times on Feb. 10, fans are convinced the game has gotten harder — like, a lot harder.

Though that’s not exactly the case, these 12 Wordle New York Times memes perfectly sum up how players of the daily word game have been feeling lately.

I did not ask to be part of this road trip.

I just want things to go back to the way they were.

Although, pre-NYT Wordle wasn’t always rainbows and butterflies.

Some have been forced to employ new starting words. As of Feb. 14, NYT hasn’t added any new solutions, but they did remove obscure and potentially offensive words.

To be fair, I haven’t owned a clock in years.
